Travel in Prague (2016) -- Astronomical Clock and Town Hall
DAY 2
We joined a walking tour at 11 in the morning. It's free. And it's the best option for students or limited budget visitors. The walking tour is started in the OLD TOWN SQUARE. The only thing you'll need to do is to find the person who hanging a YELLOW umbrella. It's better to arrive 10 minutes in advance. So you don't have to be rushed. I love to join this kind of tour. It's interesting to learn more about the local history or stories. It's an opportunity to speak to a local or the person living there for years and years as well.
The free walking tour is about 1.5 hours. And it goes through most of the attractions in and around the OLD TOWN Square. (Like: the Jewish Quarter)

After That, we tried the bun served with ice-cream and Nutella sauce. That's our lunch (To be honest, it's a little bit less for a lunch >3<). and watching the most 'disappointing' attraction in Prague, the play of Astronomical Clock outside the Old Town Hall. Um... It's hard to tell you why it's disappointing, you'd better go and watch it by yourself. You may be feeling as same as me, or not. It depends on your feeling.
Okay, let's move on something exciting! We were heading to the top of the tower, actually is the highest point of the Town Hall. Due to the town hall collapsed during the Word War II. There's a lift to arrive the top of the tower. If you travel to Prague, don't forget to go on the top!
A panoramic view of Prague Old Square from Town Hall. It is worth to be here. And I understood why somebody called Prague as a 'golden town' when I saw this clear and beautiful view. (Sorry guys, I forget the entry fee of it, but I remember that it's not expensive at all.)

You can choose to walk to the top or by the lift. And lots of pictures and descriptions are on the wall to show the introduction and history of the town hall. |
A lovely traffic light to manage the flow go up or go down through the stair. |
